Deacon Mike Hayes

Deacon Mike Hayes was ordained in May 2024 and is the Director of Young Adult Ministry & the Office of Ecumenical and Interfaith Affairs in the Diocese of Cleveland.  He is also hosts 5 Questions with the Paulists a video series on the ministries of the Paulists and lay collaborators. Mike is one of the founders of Busted Halo and has worked with young adults his entire ministry career in retreat, spiritual direction, and campus Ministry. He’s the author of "Googling God" (Paulist, 2007) and "Loving Work" (Orbis, 2012).  Mike started a radio career at WFAN and WOR Radio in New York  Mike and his wife Marion live in Lakewood, OH with their dog, Vito.

Fr. Damian Ference

Father Damian Ference is a priest of the diocese of Cleveland.  He serves at Borromeo Seminary in Wickliffe, Ohio as Director of Human Formation and Assistant Professor of Philosophy.

Father Ference graduated from Borromeo Seminary/John Carroll University in 1998, and after earning his M.A. and M.Div. from Saint Mary Seminary and Graduate School of Theology he was ordained for the diocese of Cleveland in 2003.  He served as parochial vicar at St. Mary Parish in Hudson, Ohio from 2003-2007.  In 2009 he earned his licentiate in philosophy from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC.  Ference has been part of the formation faculty at Borromeo Seminary since 2009.  He is the founder and director of {TOLLE LEGE} Summer Institute and is a lifetime member of the Flannery O’Connor Society.

Bishop Edward Malesic

On September, 14, 2020 Bishop Edward C. Malesic, JCL, was installed as the 12th bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in downtown Cleveland. 

Prior to his arrival in Cleveland, He was appointed in 2015 by Pope Francis to be the fifth bishop of Greensburg on April 24, 2015. 


Bishop Malesic was born on August 14, 1960 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. 

In 1981 he was accepted into the seminary program at the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy in 1983.  He continued his theological studies at the Josephinum and was awarded a master of divinity degree in 1987.


He is a member of two USCCB committees: the Committee on Canonical Affairs and Church Governance and the Subcommittee for the Church in Central and Eastern Europe.
